The USD Discovery District is a research park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, dedicated to advancing bioscience, biotech, and life sciences innovation through strong public–private partnerships. To ensure long-term sustainability, the District operates with a transparent funding model supported by key stakeholders across education, government, and business. Our governance emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and the responsible use of resources to fuel economic development and innovation in the region.

Financial Oversight & Governance

The USD Discovery District is overseen by a 14-member Board of Directors, ensuring that research park operations remain transparent, accountable, and aligned with community priorities. Independent annual audits are conducted by Eide Bailly LLP, providing third-party financial review and assurance.

Public Disclosure & Transparency

As part of our commitment to transparency, the USD Discovery District makes all financial records publicly available through annual IRS Form 990 filings. These documents provide insight into funding sources, expenditures, and the ongoing governance of the District.
